Prepping for the yard sale at 6:30 AM
It started out with two fully loaded 24 foot long trucks. By the time it was done, we had sold nearly 75% of the items that were donated to us for our first yard sale. The leftover items, we donated to Goodwill to help out other local families. Our first yard sale was held at the TapOut Training Center in Las Vegas (Saturday), August 6th, 2011. We had everything from TV’s to computers to designer carpets, furniture, toys, books, auto parts, sporting goods, etc. The money we raised will go toward purchasing schools supplies for the kids of our military personnel who are deployed or just back from deployment.

Shine Family Foundation would like to thank those who donated items, the many who came out to buy and bargained, and our partners in this event. They include: The Dream Center, Chase, TapOut Training Center, Sincity Car Scene, OCCink, 360 Car Scene (these guys made it happen), Real Water, and our food vendors. The school supplies will be distributed before the start of the school year.
Every minute of every hour of everyday, our brave deployed military sacrifice their lives for our country, families, and our freedom. We all owe it to come together as a community and step up and protect them and their families in other means.
We will be doing another yard sale in the coming weeks which will be even bigger and better!!! Please show your support and help us help our HEROES.
