The persona and mystery of how Michael Jackson lived comes alive October 25th when Shine Family Foundation hosts “Dressed To Thrill” at The Thriller Villa the home Michael rented in Las Vegas right up until his death in 2009.
The 1.75 acre estate will be center stage for Shine Family Foundation’s fundraising Masquerade Ball / Black Tie Optional evening.

Zombie Bar Crawl
Friday October 26th, Lake Las Vegas and SinCity Car Scene hosted a Zombie Bar Crawl where participating bars/restaurants and merchants offered up ten sample cocktails for just $10 dollars. The money raised was donated to our foundation which helps the families of our deployed military and veterans. Thank you to our board members, Julie Barbagallo Director of Montelago Village and everyone who turned out to enjoy the night. Here are some pictures.
Our Next Event
Shine Family Foundation is proud to be the selected organization that will benefit from a great event that will be taking place at Lake Las Vegas on Friday October 26th. The Zombie Pub Crawl. The party includes everything from Halloween Costumne Contest to a Pumpkin Pie eating competition to a Thriller Mob Dance. $10 dollars will buy you a pass to sampe a varity of cocktails at all the participating vendors and entrance to the costume contest.

Helping Those In Need
2012 has been an interesting year. So far this year our focus has been to partner with other non profits. To date we have managed to purchase some beds for some formerly homeless vets who now have apartments. We’ve also succeeded in getting water and juice donations to help those who can’t go out and have daily or weekly deliveries. Living in the desert, the food and juice donations are more than welcome and we’ve been lucky enough to get pallets full of both thanks to Las Vegas Dream Center.
We are in the planning stages for some events later this year that we will tell you about in the coming weeks.
We would also like to thank our US Senators and Congressional Representatives for recognizing our efforts. We are small but we know that we can and will make a difference.
Christmas Around The World
It took months of planning, dozens of volunteers, hundreds of hours to co-ordinate but in the end it was all worth it. On December 11, 2011 Shine Family Foundation held it’s first own fundraiser. Christmas Around The World features Las Vegas entertainers and Dance troupes who performed all in the name of supporting the families our active military in southern Nevada and our returning veterans. |
 Shine Family Foundation would like to invite you to join us at the Henderson Convention Center 200 South Water Street, Henderson, NV on December 11th, 2011 from 11am to 5 pm to celebrate the season and help us help the families of our military who are deployed. Our event is a year end recital for dance groups and choirs, as well as a seasonal arts and crafts sale. It’s free to attend and it’s free for performing groups who can also raise money for their organizations. Great turnout for yard sale fundraiser
It started out with two fully loaded 24 foot long trucks. By the time it was done, we had sold nearly 75% of the items that were donated to us for our first yard sale. The leftover items, we donated to Goodwill to help out other local families. Read more |
